At GoodFinx, our credibility depends on the standards we hold ourselves to. This page explains how we research, write, fact-check, and update the content we publish.
Our Core Principles
- Accuracy first. We verify facts against multiple credible sources before publishing.
- Transparency. We disclose our sources, our funding, and any conflicts of interest.
- Independence. Our editorial decisions are never dictated by advertisers, partners, or political interests.
- Fairness. We present multiple perspectives on contested issues and avoid framing news as opinion.
- Accountability. When we get something wrong, we correct it openly and promptly.
How We Source Our Reporting
GoodFinx articles draw on reporting from established news organizations, official government statements, peer-reviewed research, and primary documents. When we reference reporting by another outlet, we name the outlet and link to the original source so readers can verify the information themselves.
We do not republish or copy content from other publications. Every article is written from scratch by our team based on facts gathered from multiple sources.
News vs. Opinion
We clearly separate factual reporting from opinion or analysis. News articles aim to present what happened with verified facts. Opinion and analysis pieces are clearly labeled and reflect the views of the author, not GoodFinx as a publication.
Corrections Policy
If you spot an error in any GoodFinx article — factual, contextual, or otherwise — please email contact@goodfinx.com. We review every correction request within 48 hours.
When we publish a correction, we update the original article and add a clearly labeled correction note at the bottom explaining what was changed and why. We do not silently edit articles after publication.
Updates and Republishing
News stories evolve. When significant new information emerges on a story we’ve covered, we update the original article with the date and nature of the update, or publish a follow-up piece that links back to the original.
Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure
GoodFinx is currently a non-commercial, ad-free publication. If we introduce display advertising or affiliate partnerships in the future, we will update this policy and clearly disclose any affiliate links within articles. Advertisers will never influence editorial coverage.
User-Generated Content
Comments and reader submissions reflect the views of their authors, not GoodFinx. We moderate comments to remove spam, harassment, and hate speech, but we do not endorse opinions expressed by readers.
Use of AI Tools
GoodFinx editors may use AI tools to assist with research, summarization, and editing. All published content is reviewed, fact-checked, and finalized by a human editor before publication. We do not publish articles generated entirely by AI without human editorial oversight.
